Biology is the scientific study of the natural world and my art studies biology, therefore my art is the study of life.
Hello!
I’m Renée.
ARTIST, ADVENTURER, SEEKER OF CONNECTION.
I like to think I have always been an artist at heart. I have always wanted to understand how a person sees what they see and how our differences and similarities tie us together. I am always seeking beauty in the little things and hold onto my curiosity by exploring the world and my own interests with organic marks and shapes. Because the things that surround us are truly magnificent.
I have battling aesthetics, I love the light and airy as well as the dark and moody - I love abstract and realism so you will see all these themes in my work, connected as always through natures mysteries.
Check out my mini journal called ‘Field Notes’ for more about my inspiration and the joys of nature I find along the way.
The Inspiration
My art is deeply influenced by the natural world and it’s beautiful capacity for change.
Marks, lines and organic shapes
Nature
Movement
I seek to offer a deep connection between what is around us, with how we feel. Emotion and feeling play a large part in informing the atmosphere I aim to create in my work.
Process + Materials
Mark making and it's relation to art and the natural world is the basis for my artistic practice. The delicacy and destructive force of nature is a source of inspiration for materials and creative processes.
