My intention for this small body of work was to look at the world around me in a different way. I was hoping to share with you a world seen through my eyes. I played with how light refracts through foliage and gives you that peaceful waking moment feeling. The happy buzz of a bee just out doing its natural thing, defying gravity, helping create new life. The way tall stems move and float in the summer breeze, the softness of a field of clover. I imbued a moodiness with my colour palette, the richness of greens and dark blues but at the same time the subject matter holds a lightness, that forever balance that nature must find.
